VMWare - Increase size of a virtual machine disk

Take for example the case where you will grow your virtual machine hard disk, VMWare offer a little tool to do this:
# vmware-vdiskmanager -x 50GB virtual.vmdk
where 50GB is the new final size
and virtual.vmdk is the vdisk we want to grow up
